Who We Are
We are an international network of individuals, organizations, and Hackerspaces, inspired by the tech and hacker community in Berlin, Germany – particularly the Chaos Computer Club and c-base. We see ourselves as a foundation and incubator for Hackerspaces – physical places where people come together to share tools and exchange specialized knowledge.
Our Mission
Our mission is to empower the global civil society through redundancy, independence, and collaboration. We provide infrastructure, education, and community – primarily through Maker- and Hackerspaces – particularly in remote and underdeveloped regions.
Our goal is to offer people a safe place to meet, with access to electricity, internet, water, tools, education and community. This allows them to focus on improving their and other peoples lives - through technology.
What We Do
We utilize the abundance and surplus in parts of the world and transform it into infrastructure, tools, and education – primarily for underdeveloped regions and communities. We foster self-determination and development through the empowerment of individuals and groups.
We Offer
We offer a platform for networking, socializing, and further education, with a focus on decentralized networks and governance, open-source hardware and software, computer security, and future-oriented thinking and action.
We organize the Cooperative Community Congress – an opportunity to bring together people, groups, and communities from around the world.
We combine the capabilities and strengths of various partners and work towards the development of a cooperatively-oriented, global network of specialized spaces and communities – with the goal of developing mankind into an intergalactic super-organism.
